Descrizione

La lunghezza del guscio varia tra 43 mm e 100 mm. Il guscio è striato dappertutto. Il suo colore è giallastro pallido o color cenere, indistintamente a due bande, spesso un po' sfumato di viola alla base. L'apertura è bianca o leggermente violacea.

Diffusione

Questa specie marina è presente nel Mar Rosso, nell'Indo-Pacifico tropicale e al largo dell'Australia ( Territorio del Nord, Queensland e Australia occidentale).
